A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Planning told the Arab newspaper that the unemployment rate in Iraq has reached 15 percent and poverty 20 percent, indicating the explosion of the unannounced bomb in front of the current Iraqi government and the coordination framework.
Hazim Raddini, deputy director of the Iraqi Strategic Center, said about 10 million Iraqis live below the poverty line.
Hazim said one of the reasons is the presence of foreign labor in Iraq, which currently employs about one million foreign workers, of which only 40,000 are registered.
The newspaper said that many unemployed people are young, especially those who graduated from universities and colleges.
Raddini said there is a direct link between poverty and crime, especially in Baghdad, where crime has increased dramatically.
The newspaper said the phenomenon of unemployment and rising poverty is a bomb that will explode in front of the Iraqi government and ruling parties.
