Badinan on the verge of Deracination

CPT Community Peacemaker Teams surprised us with detailed data and information on Turkey's invasion and crimes. They told us that war crimes and genocide are taking place in Badinan and no one is raising their voices. The world is sleeping as deep as it was in Al-Anfal Campaign in 1988. This happens when the media and communications technology are at the highest level and cannot be compared to what they were 33 years ago.

The organization has released a field report titled "No Return: The Civilian Impact of Operation Claw Lightning in Turkey". The report gave a shocking and sympathetic title.

The report describes the Turkish operation Claw-Lightning on the border between Iraq, Iran and Turkey, a triple crossing between these three countries, the Badinan region of Kurdistan.

Like it or not, the Turkish military operation will be carried out in cooperation with the United States, Canada, Britain and NATO in general.

The attack is so dangerous that it does not seem to be between a guerrilla force and a large oppressive state, and the operation is much more than one against the PKK.

The offensive began on 23 April. Although the history of Turkish state attacks goes back decades and the report was written in early June, it generally tells the story of a month of war against Kurdish civilians. Turkey not only occupied Northern Kurdistan, but also Western and Southern Kurdistan. Now the neo-Ottoman man, who prays and worships God, also threatens Makhmour and Sinjar.

Hundreds of orchards and agricultural land were severely damaged in the attacks. Thousands of acres of land were destroyed and turned into battlefields. 1,300 beehives, 22 villages were destroyed in the fighting and more than 1,500 civilians were displaced. Four civilians were wounded in the same period.

Since 2015, more than 120 civilians have been injured and more than 100 unarmed civilians, including women and children, have been killed.

The attack is similar to the 1988 Ba'athist attack and poses a serious threat to the villagers of the area. This is without the regional authorities in the region and at the highest level saying anything. However, what has been discussed about logging is that the logging story goes back several years which is not new, but it is getting more intense now. The way the Turkish operation and the silence of the Kurdistan Regional Government in the region tells us that there is a kind of agreement and cooperation. Turkey has established four new military bases in the Kurdistan Region, bringing the total number of Turkish military bases in the Kurdistan Region to 42, except for the intelligence bases in Badinan.

The first village attacked in this operation is Kesta. 34 families of the village were forced to leave the village and went to Chalke Village in the face of continuous Turkish bombings. There they faced bombardment with the people of Chalke village. They were forced to flee with 23 families. There were also air and drone attacks on Hirure. As of the end of May, 720 residents of the villages of Kesta, Chalke, Hirure, Awne, Meska, Sarro and Dshishe have been displaced due to the operation. The report describes several villages in a large area. The report describes a vast area between East Kurdistan and the north and south that Turkey wants to connect.

According to the report, and as we have mentioned in several articles, Turkey's attacks are bigger than the issue of attacking the PKK. The PKK is just an excuse for Turkey. Instead of blaming Turkey, the KRG authorities constantly blame the PKK for the problems.

Surprisingly, the KRG authorities do not care about the people, and even the wounded and martyrs are not considered wounded and martyrs.

In this serious situation, we need a stand and a decision to fight back. Kurdish Diaspora in Europe is very important to take big steps. our lands and environment are destroyed in Badinan and Turkish embassies and consulates in Europe is safe! At least, let the world know that another Anfal in Badinan is being carried out by Turkey and for that we need a strong reaction.
